Get Landing Pages by Source / Medium in GA4
Google Analytics moved from the old Universal Analytics to GA4 (Google Analytics 4) in summer of 2023.
Many online marketing specialists found it valuable to find the top Landing Pages by Source / Medium and filter to find Google traffic. In other words, which pages were people coming in on directly from Google Search?
Unfortunately, in GA4, this report doesn’t exist anymore as the way the analytics are shown is vastly different. To top it off, all Google Analytics UA data from legacy properties stopped processing new data as of July 1, 2023. This means no more data unless you set up a GA4 account for each website you manage, and the data started processing when you first set it up. There is no backwards compatibility or data conversion.
So, it’s been about six or seven months since GA4 has been the only Google Analytics collecting, data, so you might be trying to figure out your top Landing Pages by Source / Medium (google / organic). Here’s how to get a similar report in GA4.
Landing Pages by Google / Organic report in GA4
Fortunately, there is a way to get the Landing Pages by Source / Medium in the new GA4.
Here’s the steps:
1. From the Home Screen, Go to Reports

2. Go to Pages and Screens

3. Change Page title and screen class to Page path and screen class via filter in the first column.
4. Event Count Column –> Change from all_events to session_start
5. Add Filter –> Session Source / Medium

6. On the filter, set Match Type –> exactly matches –> Dimension value = google / organic

7. Click Apply button
8. Arrange Columns by Event Count –> Session Start

This will give you the top pages where traffic was driven by Google organic search.
